Surrounded by 17 coats of arms of the cities. Rev. connected arms of Overijssel and the three cities. (flower) TRANSISSULANOS. E.T. DEUS. ET, LABOR. PROMOVET. A rare Dutch silver medallic issue, that boasts the classic horse and rider motif on the obverse, for which there are practically no auction records for comparison. The last of the type we could find sold at public auction from a Schulman sale in 2012. This example is in splendid preservation, wonderfully cabinet toned and glowing with luster and partial reflectivity.
