This item CANNOT be sold outside the EU. Antique netsuke depicting Busho the bandit, one of the 108 heroes of Suikoden. The legend states that he killed a tiger with one punch. In very good overall condition with nice natural patina, it has just one split in the fan, minimal wear, chips and natural veining consistent with its age and use. A Japanese item from the Edo period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU.
