Refined Ryusa manju netsuke, in a square and slightly polylobed shape depicting Kirin, a fantastical animal from Japanese tradition similar to a chimaera Signed 'Kokusai' on the back On the whole it appears to be in very good condition, with minimal veining consistent with its age. Japanese object from the Meiji period The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU: This item CANNOT be sold outside the EU.
