Large netsuke depicting a masked character preparing for the shishi-mai dance. It is in excellent general condition with wear and natural ivory veining consistent with age and use. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
