Netsuke - Ivory - Japan - Late Edo period

Antique netsuke depicting Hotei smiling and seated with his large sack and the tama in his hand. In excellent overall condition, with a beautiful natural patina, with wear and natural veining consistent with its age. A Japanese item from the Edo period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
