Netsuke - Ivory - Monkey with crab - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

Description The monkey is kneeling on his left leg, squatting on his right. A large crab is sitting on his shoulders, The right claw is pinching the monkey right hand, while the left hand of the monkey is holding the crab left claw. The expression of the monkey is half amused, half surprised. Not signed, but nicely carved : details of the face (carved eyes) , the segments of the crab legs. . .) Himotoshi through the low left back to the underside. Datation End of 19th century - C. 1875 Weigth 19,5 gr Signature unisgned Condition Good condition in line with its age with expected wear Please check pictures for global condition Provenance Austrian private collection Delivery For Belgium the delivery will be made by the seller.
