The author was a Yale graduate who pastored a church in New Orleans, beginning as a Presbyterian pastor in the 1820s. We trace only one other copy in Worldcat (BnF.) Condition Report: Spine chipped and with some traces of glue (appears spine panel was probably loose and was reglued to the spine), slight skew to spine. Contents mostly clean, frontis and title with foxing, the rest with only some occasional very minor foxing and a small number of leaves with minor stains from handling.
