With the armorial bookplates of Francis Reynolds Dickinson and Alice May Dickinson. Graff notes the work "Contains firsthand accounts of Indians in Arizona and New Mexico." The folding map is "Map of the South-Western Portion of the United States, and of Sonora and Chihuahua. Illustrating the Travels of Dr. W.A. Bell. Compiled by E. G. Ravenstein, F.R.G.S. &c." It measures 32.2x36.5 cm. The map plate shows the harbors of San Francisco, San Diego, and Guaymas.
