A rare Newcastle and Gateshead commorative pedestal cameo glass bowl by Peter Furlonger and Jill Ellinsworth, engraved and acid etched with images of the Tyne Bridge, Gateshead Millennium Bridge, The Sage Gateshead, and Durham Cathedral, signed and with monogram and inscribed 'EU. NGC.UK.05', 17.5cms diameter, 17cms high. Boxed.
This is one of 120 pieces commissioned by the home office for a European Union conference held in Newcastle in 2005 at the National Glass centre.
