Newfoundland, 1865, 5c Brown (25; SG 26). Mint N.H., with selvage at right, well-centered for this difficult stamp, rich color and highly detailed impression VERY FINE. A CHOICE AND INCREDIBLY RARE MINT NEVER HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1865 5-CENT BROWN. ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING STAMPS IN ALL OF NEWFOUNDLAND TO FIND IN PREMIUM QUALITY. Scott No. 25 is extremely difficult to find never hinged. Unitrade does not even list a premium for never hinged, as they do for nearly every other stamp. Other values in the series carry 500% (6x) premium for never hinged. Likewise, Scott has a dash (-) in the never hinged field, meaning it exists in that state, but a value cannot be determined (likely because there are so few on the market).
