Condition Report:
This work is in good overall condition as viewed. There is a 13 cm diagonal scratch to the silk at the lower left corner and a few at the left corner at the calligraphy inscriptions. There are some scattered small inconsistencies to the weave of the silk, consistent with the age and nature of the medium. Upon close inspection, there are a few scattered spots of white media accretion and pigment loss. Evidence of faint foxing primarily at the silk border and at the background in the upper quadrants of the work. Upon close inspection and bright light, there is evidence of tiny losses and associated restoration at the teacher's pants, at the background near the proper right student's shoulder, at her white top below her chin and near the inscriptions near the left edge. Examination under ultraviolet reveals tiny spots of inpainting associated with the above mentioned areas. Framed, under glass.
