Nice Egyptian bronze standing figure of Osiris
A very nice Egyptian bronze standing figure of Osiris, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing Atef crown with uraeus and false beard, arms folded across chest, hands holding a crook and flail. The facial features are nicely rendered, and the surfaces are lightly encrusted with a dark brown - green patina. Feathers at sides of crown (likely of silver) now lost, their attachment points still visible. H: 5 1/5 in (13.2cm). Mounted on a custom wood base. Ex Harmer Rooke Galleries purchased in the 1980's.
