Nice Egyptian steatite scarab with original bronze ring

A nice Egyptian Steatite scarab with original bronze ring, 2nd Intermediate Period, c. 1750 - 1570 BC, the scarab's body nicely carved with legs indicated with horizontal grooves and vertical hatching. On base a standing female deity flanked by pairs of ankhs, red crowns at her feet. The scarab is set in the original heavy bronze ring, the shank of heavy gauge with wire tightly wrapped around the shoulders. 4 x 3.3 cm, scarab itself is 21 x 14 mm. Light deposits and a very large ring size indicating that rather than being a ring to wear, the loop is just a handle for the scarab used as a seal? Ex Orange County private collection.
