Shipping in a calm with a man-o-war firing a salute

framed: 62 x 64.5 cm.; 24⅜ x 25⅜ in.
Condition Report:
The canvas has not been lined and is providing a stable support to the paint surface. Fine and settled craquelure in most areas. Fine stretcher bar marks around the edges. Two small holes towards the upper edge (largest approx. 1cm in length). Vertical line of craquelure in the centre section of the sky. Inspection under Ultraviolet light reveals small specks of retouching to the sky and the water.
