EG#Q0085); Private Collection, London Exhibition: 'Paintings', Entwistle, London 1998 Note: This work is typical of Hoberman’s style and subject matter, with her output consisting largely of depictions of young girls whose bold gazes engage the viewer, exploring the idea of the sitter’s sense of identity, and the relationship between the observer and the painted image. Hoberman’s work has been included in exhibitions around the world, including at the Tate Liverpool, Saatchi Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Melbourne National Gallery of Victoria.
Minor wear on each of the corners and along lower edge. One very small missing fleck of paint to the left of the subjects left eye. Painted surface and canvas otherwise in very good condition. Unlined.
