NJ Roosenboom, It is not certain, but the Leers - Wijnberg family could well have ties with the Roosenboom family. Mr. Leers worked his way up from miner to washing machine manufacturer of the Victoria brand, they lived lavishly and luxuriously. Sarah Leers has even written a book about it "Victoria", she tells the story of the Limburg family, a historical tale about success and betrayal, about the power struggle between father and son, about the desire for more and the illusion that money brings happiness. The painting is still in the original frame, the stretcher frame has been renewed, the canvas has been repainted, the work has been cleaned and the frame has been re-gilded. There are many old documents from the Leers - Wijnberg family, advertising brochure washing machine certificate 1952 rental contract 1900 & 1933, rent books 1923 & 1929, photos, 3 wine glasses with engraved family coat of arms and the name Leers, etc.
