'Landing of the Fathers at Plymouth Dec. 26 1620: Full Border, Single Dart Band,' Eight Staffordshire Medium Dark Blue Transfer-Printed Plates and a Pitcher, Enoch Wood & Sons, 1820-46. Comprising one 4.625-inch plate, one 6.375-inch plate, two 7.5-inch plate, two 8.625-inch plates, and two-10.125 inch plates, the plates with impressed factory marks and title banners in underglaze-blue. Largest plate: Diam: 10.125 in. Pitcher: H: 6.5 in., W: 5.625 in., D: 7.5 in. This pattern was possibly made for the banquet celebrating the 200th anniversary of the landing of the pilgrims (1620-1820), held in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and at which Daniel Webster was the guest speaker. The pattern became popular and was reordered several times.
