Nine Patch Variation Patchwork Quilt
76 x 78 inches. A hand-stitched patchwork quilt constructed from utilitarian fabric remnants including denim, heavy wool, and woven cotton. The quilt features a geometric nine-patch variation design composed of large rectangular blocks in indigo blue, charcoal gray, and dark brown. These blocks are separated by light tan sashing with dark blue square cornerstones at the intersections. The entire surface is hand-quilted with a simple running stitch using white and red thread. The backing consists of a purple and brown plaid fabric. A large rectangular repair or insert of tan fabric is visible on the reverse side near one edge. The quilt is finished with a thin checkered binding along the perimeter.
