Nino Zoncada - Sofa

Amazing and very rare sofa designed by Nino Zoncada in the 1950s. There are only armchairs of this model on the market (a pair of which was sold at auction in 2014 by Sant'Agostino Casa d'Aste - Turin) , but this small sofa (140 cm) is almost impossible to find. The recent comprehensive exhibition on the work of Nino Zoncada can only enhance this even more. Sinuous shapes for the backrest and seat, aerodynamically designed armrests, this sofa represents the best of the research into shapes that characterised Italian production in the 1950s. The double legs with three-point joints make it even more slender and dynamic. In excellent structural condition, upholstered in gold-coloured velvet, no damage to the upholstery, just normal signs and traces of time and shading on the velvet as can be seen in the photos.
