An art deco silver necklace by the famous designer Chris Agterberg. Christoffel (Cris) Agterberg (Amsterdam, April 22, 1883 – Utrecht, November 21, 1948) was a Dutch visual artist.
He attended the Applied Arts School Quellinus Amsterdam and the Applied Arts School in Elberfeld (Germany) . Agterberg made ceramics, worked in wood, glass, leather and metal, designed jewelry and masks and was also a book cover designer. He called himself: 'sculptor and decorative artist'.
A green stone is set in the center of the pendant, probably Ocean Jasper. The finely hammered decor with wave shapes fits in beautifully symbolically. The pendant is signed on the front with the artist's monogram CA.

Hallmarks: CA monogram on the front of the pendant, tax stamp J for old, native and unwarranted silver on the back. The necklace is marked 925 on the clasp.
