Another stamp on the back of the panel near the cassette closure. and with AUTHENTIC fossil Baltic Amber stones, stunning in color and inclusions (12 gorgeous Cabochons) . Amber is a fossil resin
Amber is a fossil resin. The resin transformed into amber through a polymerization process, which consists of the union of small molecules that make up the structure of the resin, followed by the fossilization process.
The first step was certainly the resin falling from the trees; the resin was then transported by rivers, subjected to enormous glacial pressure which was finally followed by immersion in sea water (that of the current Baltic Sea) which lasted millions of years. So it was precisely in the Baltic Sea that the resin completed the fossilization process, and became what everyone knows by the name amber (chemical formula C10H16O) .
It was always the sea after storms, especially in spring and autumn, that returned the pieces of amber that were found along the beaches. Consequently, the figure of the amber hunter was created who searched both along the beaches and on the seabed for this precious gem.
Since the 19th century, quarries were also opened along the shore of the Baltic Sea where at a depth of about 50 meters there is the so-called blue earth which contains amber.
