A beautiful pearl necklace of saltwater Akoya pearls with excellent lustre, finished with a silver ball clasp.
The classic Akoya pearl is a type of cultured saltwater pearl originating from Japan and has a characteristically white colour, with a pink overtone.
These blue-green pearls are toned by irradiating cobalt. Cobalt irradiation is often used for gray and blue pearls. This technique can be toned to colors similar to natural colors. No dye is used.
These round pearls are 6. 5x7mm in size.
The necklace is fastened with a 925 silver ball clasp, which has a polished finish, hallmarked.
The clasp is safe and easy to open/close.
At 46cm the necklace should sit nicely below the collarbone and is individually hand-knotted between each pearl for safety and comfort.
