Grown in the black-lipped Pinctada margaritifera oyster in the tropical waters of French Polynesia, these Tahiti pearls have been hand selected for their quality. The shine on each pearl is excellent. The eye-catching colour of the pearls throughout the necklace displays the multi-coloured pastel grey hues of Tahitian pearls. The overtones of these pearls are carefully matched in the grey, pink and green colouring to create an elegant necklace that is truly unique The near round pearls measure 10. 2x12. 6mm in diameter, creating a slight graduation to the front of the necklace. The pearls have natural growth characteristics on the surface, not disturbing the beautiful look due to the deep lustre. At 45cm the necklace sits nicely under the collarbone. The necklace is strung by hand with knots between each pearl for safety and is completed with a secure 18K gold built in clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality 18k gold screw and the other end pearl a gold bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden, offering a clean and elegant look.
