Non firmato - Sculpture, Lady Luck (1) - Bronze - Mid 20th century
This beautiful mid-20th century bronze sculpture represents a young blindfolded woman, known as the Blindfolded Fortune Goddess. This one is called the Blind Fortune Lady of Sorrento, because just like the Blind Lady of Sorrento she has a beautiful bow around her neck. The Blindfolded Goddess was a Greek tutelary deity, the goddess of prosperity and destiny. The goddess was depicted as a naked and blindfolded woman, holding an upside down cornucopia, a symbol of abundance, and randomly spreading its content around. The Romans welcomed the goddess and considered her as the one bringing fertility and fortune. The dimensions include the marble pedestal. As you can see in the last picture, the bow is missing a tiny piece. Other than that, it is in perfect condition. Packaging and express courier shipping Shipping to EU Countries only.
