The MV Britannic was a transatlantic ocean liner built in 1929 by Harland & Wolff for the White Star Line. In 1934, she became part of the Cunard Line when they merged with the White Star Line. During World War II she was requisitioned for wartime service and transported over 170,000 people on various routes including to India and America. Resuming commercial service in 1948 after being overhauled, the ship continued to be in service until being broken up in 1960.
