"It is not directly taken from the large original of 1648 but is copied from one of his competitor's reductions, perhaps that by Nicolaas Visscher. The engraving and elegance of decoration are all of the highest standard" (Sh.; with wrong illustration plate 315, q.v. his corrigenda). - Original col., partly illuminated with gold. Some spotting in places, and slight shine-through of text verso. Small tear at top of centerfold. Else a fine, broad-margined copy.
