O/C Large portrait of a saint, probably St. Dominic de Guzman, founder of the Dominican Order, with star on forehead as this saint is often depicted - note the lilies in background, probably 17th century, housed in it's original very fine hand carved wooden frame decorated with lilies, traces of original gilding - good condition. The painting has several very old primitive repairs in canvas, else good condition. Stretcher size 24 1/2" x 33 1/2" and total frame size 31 1/4" x 40". Provenance: From a Rochester NY estate, name withheld by family.
