OHIO ELECTRIC - Electric Toledo - model 61 - 1915

This EXCEPTIONAL electric car "OHIO ELECTRIC" was a precursor in the 1900s compared to its competitors. The OHIO already had a double drive and magnetic brakes, very exceptional for this period. This vehicle was imported by us in 1987 and has always been inside. Some tours have been made with it but it has not been driven since 2005. Hence the batteries need replacing. Materials used in that period were of very good quality. We know from experience that once the batteries have been replaced, the OHIO will work as it did at the time. The battery charger is included. The inside upholstery is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL as well as the outside. The speed of this OHIO ELECTRIC is 23 miles/hr or 36. 8 km/hr. The range is 150 km with fully charged batteries. The control is done with a STEERING ROD instead of a round steering. The advantage of this is that it can be driven in both directions. The two separate seats can turn so all 5 passengers can look at each other and drive in both directions. This vehicle is very rare in Europe, very few known in this condition outside Norway, USA and Canada. This car is in Aalter, Belgium.
