Possibly the first state (of 2) of a rare early 16th-cent. engraving by the Dutch print-maker Lucas van Leyden (1494-1533) once interpreted as his self-portrait & sometimes entitled “Memento Mori” (Remember that you have to die). – A few imperfections (several small rubbed spots in the image (in lower part), occ. sl. creased, occ. sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless in an acceptable condition.
