Signed 8 x 10 photograph of Olivier standing in a half-length pose in costume as Othello from the 1965 film based on the National Theatre Company's staging of William Shakespeare's Othello (1964-66). Signed ('Laurence Olivier') in bold black ink with his name alone to the lower white border. It was for his performance in this film that Olivier received one of his thirteen Oscar nominations (a Best Actor nomination for Othello), being honoured on four occasions.
