ONCE WERE WARRIORS Artist: Pete McKee Once Were Warriors is a playful poke at the cats we welcome into our houses to snooze on our beds and eat treats from our hands! These pampered, portly felines are a far cry (or meow?) from their ferocious ancestral origins as beasts of the jungle. Artist Pete McKee has created a collection of rotund cats, each with a unique name and story – from Fishcake (a nod to the iconic Sheffield fishcake butty), to names gifted by fans and carrying a deeper meaning. This design is a true labour of love, as each cat has been brought to life with rich detail and fine lines.
