ORIGINAL FORMULA ONE PAINTING & RINDT SIGNATURE. Comprising an original acrylic on paper painting by Nicholas Watts (British B. 1947) titled Winning Combination depicting Austrian racer Jochen Rindt (1942-1970) in a Lotus 72 during the 1970 British Grand Prix. Although Rindt had a fatal accident in the middle of the 1970 season, he had won enough races so that no other drivers could catch up to his point total and he became the only World Champion awarded the honor posthumously. Signed by the artist lower right and with narrative describing the scene lower left. Custom framed with cut signature of Jochen Rindt. Image size 9.75 inches x 20.75 inches (25 x 52.5 cm), overall size 21.5 inches x 30 inches (55 x 76 cm).
