ANDREW MOBRAY COLLECTION. 37 1/2" Overall. 32" Double-edged blade etched w/ 20" blue, gold & white patriotic motifs. Ornate sculptured cross guard & knuckle bow, fancy carved bone grip. Mounted in solid brass heavily engraved scabbard. You will not find a much better circa 1825 American eagle pommel officer’s sword. CONDITION: fine overall, blade retains 95%+ gold & blue decoration. Hilt & scabbard retain most of their original gold plating. Bone grip has several chips unaffecting aesthetics as can be seen in photos, there is a gap between backstrap and grip.
