OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE WITH LOTUS POND, QING
China, 19th century. Overlay glass, milky-translucent and ruby red. Very well and wide hollowed body with tapered mouth and straight lip and convex recessed base with a slightly rounded foot rim. One side with a scene of two fishes in a lotus pond, worked in relief. On the other side an immortal on a bamboo raft. Stopper made of celadon colored jade.
Condition: Good condition with slight signs of age and use; the spoon is missing and minimal chips on the mouth are visible.
Provenance: From a Spanish private collection.
Dimensions: Height incl. stopper 7 cm. Diameter neck 1.3 cm and mouth 0.65 cm.
