OVERSIZED JAPANESE SATSUMA PORCELAIN JARDINIÈRE-ON-STAND Late Meiji Period

In treasure-sack form, with continuous decoration of the Gods of Good Fortune in a landscape with abundant gilt highlights. Double-walled ruffled rim with floral decoration. Raised gilt rope-bow ending in tassels at neck. Height 21". Diameter of top 16.5". Chinese carved wood stand with openwork-carved apron in a fruit and vine design. Height 10". Diameter 20".

Condition: Old ageline about halfway around the circumfrence of the base of the piece, minor repair at rim, and some losses to decoration.
