Vase de fleurs
signé Odilon Redon (en bas à gauche)
pastel sur papier
53,4 x 45,1 cm; 21 x 17¾ in.
Condition Report:
Executed on buff-coloured wove paper. Hinged to the backing board in two places at the reverse upper edge. The pastel is strong and fresh. The sheet undulates slightly. All four edges have been reinforced with restoration tape. The lower edge is slightly irregular and some losses are visible in the paper although this is not visible when framed and the restoration tape keeps the entire edge stable. There is a slight discoloration to the sheet due to the mount as well as some light general time-staining. There are three tiny water stains in the background of the lower half of the composition. This work is in overall very good condition.
