Of Cambridge University rowing interest - An Edwardian silver hip flask of conventional form, with engraved armorial shields of Kings College and Jesus College Cambridge and the inscription G S Oddie from Kings 1st Lent boat 1906. (Sheffield 1905). G & J W Hawksley. all at approximately 3ozs. 12cm overall height. Together with a card referring to the family of George Oddie. (2)
George Scudamore Oddie, a member of Jesus College Boat Club, was the coach for Kings College's first boat in the Bumps in 1906 that won by bumping Clare College No 1 boat. This flask was presented to him by Kings College in recognition of the success.
