The egg is 24k gold plated with Swarovski crystals in the Romanov Coat of Arms as well as on the top and bottom of the egg. As on the original egg, the coloring is achieved through yellow enamel. The replica of the imperial state coach is also 24k gold plated and decorated with red enamel. This particular egg has had quite a history: It was originally purchased by an Eastern European in 2002 in the Fabergé Los Angeles Show Room (originally operated by The Mandeville Group) and taken to Europe (unknown where exactly, though believed to be a Christmas gift to a Russian family member). Bill Ford initially planned on using the egg for interior design work but decided to keep the egg for himself as a mantelpiece until his passing in early 2023.The original stand for this egg was a three-legged gold plated tripod. The original stand was lost somewhere in Europe as the egg was purchased by Bill Ford’s collector already without the stand. It has to be noted that the original Imperial Egg by Peter Carl Fabergé does not have a stand either. This particular egg, however, has since received a custom-welded stand that is hand-covered with 24k gold foil and is unique to this egg.The egg comes with the original Certificate of Authenticity from Fabergé “Workmaster” Jean-Marie Reynaud and is stored in its original blue-velvet signature Fabergé box.Measurement of the egg: Height: 5 in; Diameter: 3 3/4 in——
