This meteorite was found during a systematic search for meteorite in the desert of the Sultanat of Oman, on spring 2011, at the following exact coordinates Latitude : 20°06'13"N Longitude : 56°19'37"E It have been submitted for classification to the University of Washington (Seattle) , and have been officialy classified, then referenced by the Meteoritical Society, under the name RAS 428 : https: //www. lpi. usra. edu/meteor/metbull. php? code=56516 This meteorite is a chondrite, a kind of (mainly) stony meteorites, that have not been modified due to melting or differentiation of the parent body (asteroid) since the formation of Solar System. Chondrites were formed by the accretion of particles of dust and grit present in the primitive Solar System, which gave an estimated age of 4. 566 billion years ± 1. 0 My (Dating using 206Pb/204Pb) . Type "L" mean a Low metal content, type "6" mean a chondrite experienced metamorphism during its history. Specimen is 2. 590 Kg as found, come with a certificat (and extra in situ pictures of the find) , +print of the Meteoritical Society referencement page signed by the finder.
