- repair of 3.5" diagonal tear, starting at the arm of the figure to the right and going through to his chair, with overpainting; surface scratch continues from the repaired tear nearly to the right edge of the frame; areas of overpainting throughout, most notably along right edge, upper edge, and around the side and under the chair of the figure to the left; scuffs and abrasions; stretcher marks present; it appears that painting has been relined; chips and abrasions to frame.
