Vera Veniaminovna Dovgalevskaya was born on August 21, 1916 in the city of Skvira, Skvirsky district, Kiev province.
From 1929 to 1931 she studied at the Kiev Art College with K. Trokhimenko, and from 1932 to 1937 - at the Kiev Art Institute with F. Krichevsky, P. Volokidin and K. Eleva.
V.V. Dovgalevskaya exhibited at the Jubilee Art Exhibition of the Ukrainian SSR, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, open from September 14 to December 8, 1957 at the Kiev State Museum of Ukrainian Art and the Kiev Art Museum of Russian Art.
Since that time, an active participant in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions.
Since 1963, a member of the Kiev organization of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR.
Dovgalevskaya V.V. worked in the field of easel painting. Master of portraiture, still life and landscape.
The main works: “Still Life with Flowers” (1950), “Poppies” (1953), “Flowers” (1957), “Tenderness” (1959), “Still Life with Speed” and “Lilac” (1960), “Girl in Red take it ”(1969),“ Spring Still Life ”(1981), etc.
The artist’s works are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, Bulgaria and other countries.
