About the artist: Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Laureate of the Regional Prize of the Lenin Komsomol named after P. Artemenko. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Born on June 9, 1940 in the city of Poltava. Studied: in childhood, attended a circle of fine art at the Poltava Palace of Pioneers (since 1952); studied at the art studio and drawing at the Poltava House of Folk Art (1957-1959); at the painting faculty of Kharkov State Art Institute (1959-1967). Teachers in the specialty: K. G. Kuzema, A. A. Ivakhnenko, S. F. Besedin, V. V. Sizikov, A. M. Constantinople, A. A. Khmelnitsky. Painter. He worked in the genres of portraiture, still life, landscape. Worked: at the Poltava art and production plant (since 1967). Assistant of the Department of Architecture of the Poltava Construction Institute (from 1969 to 1973). Chairman of the Board of the Poltava Regional Organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1993), and headed it (until 1995). Lecturer, Department of Fine Arts, Poltava Pedagogical University. V. G. Korolenko (since 1994). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1994). He participated in exhibitions: republican, all-union, foreign and international. The works are in museums and in private collections in Ukraine, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia, Canada, Singapore, the USA. He died on December 28, 2008.
