About the artist: Ukrainian painter. Alexander Vladimirovich Dmitriev was born in 1943 in the Far East. From 1959-60 he studied at the art studio under N.A. Pavlyuk at the Art College named after Grekov. 1969 - graduated from the Odessa State Art School. Since 1968 he has been a participant in city, regional, republican and foreign art exhibitions. 1969-73 - lives in the city of Navoi, Uzbek SSR. He is engaged in painting and monumental and decorative art, participant in zonal exhibitions in Samarkand and Tashkent. 1972 - personal exhibition in Navoi, painting. In 1974 - personal exhibition in Kirovograd, painting, graphics. From 1975-1977 - works in the Odesk Zelentrest, creates a number of landscape gardening sculptures for the city. From 1975-1976 participated in apartment exhibitions. Since 1977 he has been working as a monumental artist at the Odessa Art Production Plant of the Art Fund of Ukraine. In 1977 he was admitted to the youth association of the USSR Union of Artists. In 1988 - joining the Union of Artists of Ukraine. A. Dmitriev's works are in the collections of the Odessa and Zaporozhye art museums, the Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of Modern Art, in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, the USA, Israel, Sweden, France, Germany.
