Ancient collection of Notary Cav. Fazio. The surface of the painting is affected by the presence of a layer of oxidized and yellowed paint.
"First-born of the well-known Philip Peter Roos, known as Rosa da Tivoli, he was trained following his father's teachings and the aestetics popular in Rome and Naples at the time. He developed his painting depicting men and animals in an Arcadian climate, then developing the landscape and rural themes and ways handed down to him by grandfather Henric and his father. But he distinguishes himself from them in that he is less emphatic and lingers more towards a narrative taste, made elegant in a serene and almost familiar atmosphere. The chiaroscuro effects are also modulated with well balanced chromatic drafts. " STUDIO ASOR
