Beautifully elaborated. Tsuda Eiju (1915-2001) studied under famous imperiar artist Tsuda Shinobu (1875-1946) , who adopted him as his heir. He was accepted by the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) many times and received a grand prize in 1962. Tsuda Eiju is considered a most influential Japanese bronze caster of the second half of the 20th century. Eiju is known primarily for his bronze vases, but the animal theme is also a popular one with this artist. Including original signed and sealed tomobako. Dimensions: 21,3 x 6 x 7,8 cm Weight: 0,54 kg Very good condition, there are minor signs of wear from age and normal use, marks, scratches, dirt; please, take a look at pictures for actual condition.
