Okimono depicting two monkeys (macaques) , of which one is sitting and sleeping, and the other smaller one, probably the cub, trying to steal its grapes. Late 19th century. A Japanese item from the Meiji period. The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade.
