Okimono depicting hotei with karako on his shoulders, beautiful with the child with a rattle in his hand and a cheerful hotei joking. The quality of facial expressions is refined. Signed under the base. Late 19th century. A Japanese item from the Meiji period. The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade.
