Refined okimono depicting samurai who with his halberd defends himself from the arrows shot by the enemy. The helmet that fell during the battle rests at his feet. It is in good overall condition, the arrows, the tip of the halberd and the helmet laces have been re-glued as shown in red in the photos. It is fixed to a non-coeval line base. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The items come with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. VERY IMPORTANT for non-EU bidders: This lot CANNOT be sold outside the EU.
