Large and refined Okimono depicting Jurojin with a staff and parchment scroll. Detailed Shibayama decoration in tortoise shell and mother of pearl in various colours that go from the classic pearl pink to ochre to tones of blue. Very good overall condition with natural cracking to the ivory. Signed in red lacquer under the base. Japanese artefact from the Meiji Period (circa 1890-1910) . The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity that will be sent to the buyer.
