Refined okimono carved from a single block of ivory with amber patina, depicting 5 gods of abundance accompanied by a karako. An item of great craftsmanship with a lovely ambered patina. Signed Miyama under the base. On the whole it appears to be in very good condition, with minimal veining consistent with its age. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU: This item CANNOT be sold outside the EU.
